About tn320 X This version of tn3270 X is capable of using SSL to secure the connection between your computer and the ISU Administrative Systems host mainframe. The ISU Administrative Systems connection document included with this version of tn3270 X is configured to use this secure connection method.

Downloading tn3270 X If you are faculty or staff at Iowa State, you can download tn3270 X from here (868 KB). You will need your Iowa State Net-ID and password to download tn3270 X from the Iowa State Site-Licensed Software Server.

Installing tn3270 X In order to ensure that you are using the proper configuration, please make sure all previous versions of tn3270 and older connection documents (ADP Central Systems, ISU Administrative Services, ISU Administrative Systems) have been completely removed from your system before installing this version. To install tn3270 X, follow these instructions: Double-Click on the tn3270-0317.dmg icon that you downloaded. Drag the "tn3270" folder to /Applications. Drag the "Install tn3270 X" icon located on the Desktop to the Trash to eject it. Put the "ISU Administrative Systems" icon on your Dock by dragging it from /Applications/tn3270 to the Dock.
